Description

It is recommended to enforce all incoming connections to SQL database instance to use SSL. SQL database connections if successfully trapped (MITM); can reveal sensitive data like credentials, database queries, query outputs etc. DescribeDBInstanceSSL must report SSLEnabled Yes/on for every instance. Iterates every RDS region and instance (DescribeDBInstances). Read-only aliyun CLI calls; credentials and default region come from the CLI's normal profile (aliyun configure, ~/.aliyun/config.json or ALIBABA_CLOUD_* environment variables). JSON output is parsed with sed/awk. A missing CLI or credential fails the check.

Fix method: Guidance or infrastructure patch

aliyun rds ModifyDBInstanceSSL --DBInstanceId <id> --ConnectionString <endpoint> --SSLEnabled 1 (RDS console > Data Security > SSL Encryption), and require TLS in the database engine.
