TMA-TDSQL-3.3
Ensure Correct Permissions on TDSQL Configuration Files
Description
TDSQL configuration files contain sensitive information (encrypted passwords, ZK connection strings, encryption keys, network topology). Key files include: scheduler.xml - main configuration file oss.json - OSS runtime configuration manager.json - Manager runtime configuration mysql.xml - MySQL variable whitelist proxy.json - Proxy configuration backupConf.xml - backup configuration plugin.json - plugin configuration The benchmark rates this recommendation Manual; the automated check covers its objective pass criterion. Uses TDSQL_HOME (install directory with bin/, conf/, boot/, log/; default /data/tdsql). Counts files that grant the listed permission to other users; any match fails, and a missing directory fails. (o+r). Expected: files 0640, directories 0750.
How it is checked
Audit method: Shell command
n=0; for p in "${TDSQL_HOME:-/data/tdsql}/conf"; do [ -e "$p" ] && n=$((n+1)); done; [ $n -gt 0 ] || exit 1; c=0; for p in "${TDSQL_HOME:-/data/tdsql}/conf"; do [ -e "$p" ] || continue; c=$((c + $(find "$p" ! -type l -perm /o+r -print 2>/dev/null | wc -l))); done; echo $c- Expected output
0
How it is fixed
Fix method: Guidance or infrastructure patch
chmod 750 <tdsql>/conf; chown -R tdsql:tdsql <tdsql>/conf; chmod 640 <tdsql>/conf/*.xml <tdsql>/conf/*.json
