TMA-TDSQL-2.11
Ensure Adequate Disk Space Monitoring Is Configured
Description
Disk space monitoring with alerting should be configured for all TDSQL partitions (data, log, backup, temporary directories). TDSQL includes a built-in log cleanup mechanism: OSS logs are retained for up to 30 days / 100 GB (cleaned every 12 hours), and Manager logs up to 20 GB (cleaned every 3 minutes).
How it is checked
Audit method: Manual review
This recommendation cannot be checked automatically. A scan lists it with these instructions when you pass --include-manual.
# Check current disk usage df -h /data/tdsql/ /tdsqlbackup/ /data/home/zkback/ 2>/dev/null # Check the TDSQL log cleanup configuration grep -A3 'log_clean' /path/to/tdsql/conf/scheduler.xml grep -A3 'clear_log' /path/to/tdsql/conf/scheduler.xml
How it is fixed
Fix method: Guidance or infrastructure patch
1. Configure disk alerts at 80% and 90% thresholds. 2. Verify that TDSQL log cleanup is enabled: <log_clean enable="1" max_save_days="30" max_size="100000000000" hz="12"/> <clear_log enable="on" resv_capacity="20" distance_time="3" /> 3. Deploy external monitoring (Prometheus, Zabbix) covering all TDSQL partitions.
