Ensure OSS Sensitive Information Masking Is Enabled

MediumLevel 1Automatedtdsql

Description

TDSQL OSS provides sensitive information masking that automatically hides sensitive fields such as passwords and keys in API responses and logs. Uses TDSQL_HOME (install directory with bin/, conf/, boot/, log/; default /data/tdsql); reads <TDSQL_HOME>/conf/oss.json and passes when property_mask contains pwd, password, secretid, secretkey, token, secret_id, secret_key and keyring_kms_config. Also confirm the certificate fields and that interface_mask and znode_prefix_mask are present.

How it is checked

Audit method: Shell command

shell
f="${TDSQL_HOME:-/data/tdsql}/conf/oss.json"; [ -r "$f" ] || exit 1; v=$(grep -A3 '"property_mask"' "$f" | tr -d '\n'); [ -n "$v" ] || { echo missing; exit 0; }; for k in pwd password secretid secretkey token secret_id secret_key keyring_kms_config; do printf '%s' "$v" | grep -q "$k" || { echo "missing $k"; exit 0; }; done; echo compliant
Expected output
compliant

How it is fixed

Fix method: Guidance or infrastructure patch

Extend the property_mask value in oss.json, e.g. { "name": "property_mask", "value": "pwd,password,secretid,secretkey,token,secret_id,secret_key,<certificate fields>,keyring_kms_config" }, and restart OSS.
