TMA-ROS1-2.2.14
Ensure SNMP Server is not enabled
MediumLevel 1Automatedros
Description
The Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) server is used to listen for SNMP commands from an SNMP management system, execute the commands or collect the information and then send results back to the requesting system. The audit requires the SNMP server unit(s) snmpd not to be enabled or active (systemctl). Host-level control from the CIS ROS Melodic benchmark (Ubuntu 18.04 robot hosts); run as root.

systemctl is-active --quiet "$u" 2>/dev/null && { echo "$u is active"; bad=1; }
done
[ "$bad" -eq 0 ] && echo compliant- Expected output
