TMA-MFD-2.2.1
Disable Unused Bluetooth Interfaces
Description
MFDs often provide administrators and users the ability to interact with the device via Bluetooth, a common short-range wireless communication protocol. Bluetooth allows a user to print and copy from their phone, PDA, or laptop. As a defense in depth measure, it is recommended that unused instances of this interface be disabled. Disabling Bluetooth interfaces will decrease exposure to latent vulnerabilities in the MFDs Bluetooth protocol parsing stack.
