The connectionTimeout setting allows Tomcat to close idle sockets after a specific amount of time to save system resources. Every Connector must set connectionTimeout explicitly to 1-60000 ms (the benchmark example is 60000; tune lower for your load). Reads $CATALINA_BASE (default /opt/tomcat) and $CATALINA_HOME (default: $CATALINA_BASE); set them for packaged installs (e.g. CATALINA_BASE=/var/lib/tomcat10, CATALINA_HOME=/usr/share/tomcat10). XML comments are ignored.

Set connectionTimeout="60000" (or lower) on each <Connector> in server.xml. Restart Tomcat afterwards.
