It is prudent to use a minimum length to 14 characters. Maximum length should be as long as possible based on system constraints PASS requires password-attributes min-length >= 8, max-retry <= 4 and character-restriction upper >= 1, lower >= 2, numeric >= 1 and special-char >= 1 (the CIS values), matched in the order SLX-OS prints them. Audited against SLX-OS 'show running-config' output (saved in full).
