Ensure the SMTP relay host is configured with STARTTLS encryption and authentication
Deskripsi
FlashArray supports configuring a relayhost for the simple mail transfer protocol (SMTP) for the purpose of ensuring email delivery for alert emails. Everpure recommends the following: ; Configure an SMTP relayhost. ; Configure the starttls encryption mode for SMTP. Passes when a relay host is configured and Encryption Mode is starttls; confirm a Username is set when the relay requires authentication. The audit is a config_regex check against a text export of the Purity//FA CLI, supplied with --device-config. Capture it over SSH with the --nvp (name=value) output option, for example: ssh pureuser@<array> "puresmtp list --nvp" > flasharray.txt (one file may hold the output of all commands used by this pack).

To align with the security recommendations, update your SMTP configuration to specify your relay host, enforce TLS encryption, and configure authentication credentials. From the GUI: ; Navigate to Settings > System and locate the Alert Routing (Relay Host) panel. ; Enter your SMTP Relay Host address. ; Set the Encryption Mode to starttls. ; If authentication is required, enter the Username and Password. ; Click Save. From the CLI: ; Configure the relay host and enforce TLS: Use the puresmtp setattr command to specify your server and set the encryption mode to starttls. ; Command Syntax: puresmtp setattr --relay-host <HOST> --encryption- mode starttls
