TMA-OCEANBASE-1.2
Ensure the Partition Size for Log Files is Large Enough
Description
The database files and directories should place to a non-system partition and the partition size should be large enough. For OceanBase stable running and accommondating log growth, the partition size for OceanBase log files must have at least 3-4 times the available memory .
Méthode de vérification
Méthode d'audit: Revue manuelle
Cette recommandation ne peut pas être vérifiée automatiquement. Une analyse la liste avec ces instructions lorsque vous passez --include-manual.
Run SELECT svr_ip, name, value FROM oceanbase.GV$OB_PARAMETERS WHERE name IN ('data_dir','memory_limit','memory_limit_percentage'); Derive available memory (memory_limit, or memory_limit_percentage x MemTotal from /proc/meminfo). For each log directory (e.g. /data/log1, df -h <dir>) the partition must be at least 3-4 times the observer available memory; a smaller log partition is a finding.
Méthode de correction
Méthode de correction: Recommandation ou correctif d'infrastructure
Assume the disk used for the log partition is large enough. Then perform the following steps to remediate this setting for the log directory: 1. Backup the database. 2. Stop observer using a command like: pkill -9 observer. 3. Dismount the log partition usming command like: umount /data/log1. 4. Resize the log partition and the filesystem. 5. Mount the log partition to the original directory: mount <partition> /data/log1. 6. Restart observer. 7.
