Description

Security groups provide stateful filtering of ingress/egress network traffic to Alibaba Cloud resources. It is recommended that all security group configured with fine grained rules. Configure fine grained security group rules is a very effective way of minimizing the impact of breach as resources outside of these rules are inaccessible to the ECS instance. Reported as a manual review item: the benchmark audit needs console review or organisational judgement.

1. Logon to ECS Console. 2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network & Security > Security Groups. 3. Ensure the rules in each of your security groups are all necessary for your operation. Expected state: 1. Logon to ECS Console. 2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network & Security > Security Groups. 3. Remove any unnecessary rules in all security groups.
