TMA-OCEANBASE-1.1

Place Databases on Non-System Partitions

MediaNivel 1Revisión manualoceanbase

Descripción

It is generally accepted that host operating systems should include different filesystem partitions for different purposes. One set of filesystems is typically called system partitions, and these are generally reserved for host system/application operation. The other set of filesystems is typically called "non-system partitions", and such locations are generally reserved for storing data.

Cómo se verifica

Método de auditoría: Revisión manual

Esta recomendación no se puede verificar automáticamente. Un escaneo la lista con estas instrucciones cuando se pasa --include-manual.

Use the following procedure to assess compliance: 1. Connect to the OceanBase database as an administrative user and run: SELECT svr_ip, name, value FROM oceanbase.GV$OB_PARAMETERS WHERE name = 'data_dir'; 2. For each returned value (e.g., /data/1), determine its filesystem mount point by running: df -h <datadir>/sstable 3. Examine the "Mounted on" column in the output. This recommendation is compliant if the filesystem mounted at the OceanBase data_dir path (and any associated subdirectories such as log or sstable directories) is not the root (/), /var, or /usr filesystem.

Cómo se corrige

Método de corrección: Guía o parche de infraestructura

Perform the following steps to remediate this setting for the datadir: 1. Backup the database. 2. Choose a non-system partition new location for OceanBase data files. 3. Stop observer using a command like: pkill -9 observer. 4. Copy the data using a command like: cp -rp <datadir> <new location>. 5. Delete datadir and create a symlink instead to point to the new location using a command like: ln -s <new location> <datadir> 6. Restart observer.
