LXD
TMA-LXD-INSTANCE-PRIVILEGED
Ensure no LXD instance runs as a privileged container
Descripción
security.privileged=true disables the user-namespace UID mapping, so root inside the container is root on the host. The audit loops over instances from "lxc list --format csv -c n" (default project) and inspects the expanded configuration (including profiles) of each; any truthy security.privileged fails the rule.
Cómo se verifica
Método de auditoría: Comando de shell
lxc info >/dev/null 2>&1 || exit 1
names=$(lxc list --format csv -c n 2>/dev/null) || exit 1
bad=0
for n in $names; do
cfg=$(lxc config show --expanded "$n" 2>/dev/null) || exit 1
if printf '%s\n' "$cfg" | grep -Eiq '^[[:space:]]*security\.privileged:[[:space:]]*"?(true|1|yes|on)"?[[:space:]]*$'; then echo "privileged: $n"; bad=1; fi
done
[ "$bad" -eq 0 ] && echo compliant- Salida esperada
compliant
Cómo se corrige
Método de corrección: Guía o parche de infraestructura
For each reported instance (and any profile setting it): lxc config unset <instance> security.privileged (or lxc profile unset <profile> security.privileged), then restart the instance in a maintenance window; fix file ownership inside the rootfs if the instance was created privileged.
