Ensure NIS Client is not installed

MediumLevel 1Automatedros

Description

The Network Information Service (NIS), formerly known as Yellow Pages, is a client-server directory service protocol used to distribute system configuration files. The NIS client was used to bind a machine to an NIS server and receive the distributed configuration files. The audit requires the nis package not to be installed. Host-level control from the CIS ROS Melodic benchmark (Ubuntu 18.04 robot hosts); run as root.

  case "$s" in *' installed') echo "$p is installed"; bad=1 ;; esac
done
[ "$bad" -eq 0 ] && echo compliant
Expected output
